Minors and Alcohol
Never mind about drinking alcohol, if you are under 21, you cannot even possess an intoxicating beverage if you are outside of your home. And, of course, you cannot drink and drive either. Not only does this endanger your life and the lives of others: It is against the law for anyone under 21 to drive, operate, or even be in physical control (car doesn’t have to move) of a vehicle who has any measurable alcohol.
If you are convicted of drinking and driving, you may lose your license
and/or end up in jail for being under the influence of alcohol while
under age. As an underage person, you cannot drink, possess, or attempt
to buy low-point beer unless you are with your parents. Not likely that
that is ever going to happen! You can lose your license for a DUI and
also for a minor in possession of alcohol charge.
