What is a Board Certified DUI Attorney?

The American Bar association has recognized the National College for DUI Defense as the only organization to issue Board Certification in DUI Defense.

At this time there are ONLY 33 attorneys in the entire United States who are Board Certified in DUI Defense. To become certified an attorney must:

Demonstrate his experience in defending DUI cases, 

Then must pass a multipart exam that covers all areas of DUI defense including the legal elements, as well as the scientific elements, the physical elements, the medical issues, the psychological elements and the physiological elements.

Some of the best attorneys in the US have not passed this lengthy exam.

The attorney also must submit a written brief and argue it in front of some of the premier DUI attorneys in the US.
An attorney can be board certified only if he passes all elements of this process.
