Two Seperate Case, One Arrest
You have been arrested and given a court date. Seems straightforward
but now you need to know the rest of the story.
You actually have 2 separate case pending.
FIRST: There is an administrative case that will determine if you retain your driving privileges. There is a 15 days deadline to request a hearing for this case. It is possible for this issue to go from the Administrative hearing, to a Civil Court hearing in the District Court and eventually to the Supreme Court of Okalahoma. Remember, this only concerns your driving privileges
SECOND: You
have a criminal court case where your liberty is at stake.
Additionally, this is a situation where the State gets a second chance
to take your drivers license from you. There are many possibilities of
how such a case can work its way through the system. A competent
attorney can help you understand what you are facing in the Criminal
court system.
