Question: What sets you apart from other Oklahoma Lawyers?

Answer: I limit my practice to DUI or alcohol-related cases only. We spend our time doing nothing but concentrating on the law, how to defend, and learning those defenses. I’m also a regent with the National College for DUI Defense. There are approximately 1,500 members nationwide in this organization devoted to DUI defense. We are communicating with each other constantly during the day and reading different defenses and issues and case laws and tactics. By being in an element of leadership in that organization, it allows me access to many different things. I am the only board certified DUI defense lawyer according to the American Bar Association in Tulsa, and one of only two in the state of Oklahoma. I’ve written about 28 books on this issue across the nation and I have been asked to speak nationally and internationally on a number of occasions and places. As far as our firm is concerned, we’re unique in that not only are we dedicated to doing DUI defense, we are very serious about the drivers license.

We actually hired what I consider the best attorney they had in the Department of Public Safety, that’s the organization that is normally trying to take a driver’s license away from them. We hired their best man. He works for us and does nothing but driver’s license appeals and administrative hearings all day long. That’s his sole job. To my knowledge, we are the only Tulsa firm that can offer this level of expertise.

We have also, in our criminal area and in our DUI area, have a full time private investigator on staff. What I would think sums that up is: we work our cases. We spend our time on it, we work them and we look for ways to win cases.
